Two new species of the genus Parentia Hardy, 1935 from South Africa are described.An identification key to males of seven Afrotropical species is compiled for the first time.Parentia magnicornis sp.
n.male differs reliably from other Afrotropical species of the genus in mexican tamarind candy spoon enlarged antennal postpedicel and modified 2nd segment of the mid tarsus.Parentia theroni sp.
n.male differs from all other Afrotropical species of the genus in ratio of wing crossvein dm-m to distal part usafws patch of vein M4 and absence of anterodorsal callus on hind tibia.Male of Parentia degener (Parent, 1934) is reliably described and illustrated for the first time.
